Spiderweb AS

Spiderweb AS was my own agency for web development, digital design and programming. I started the company to learn how to run a business end to end, from client dialogue and quotes to delivery, invoicing and operations, and used it as a platform for delivering digital solutions to small and medium-sized businesses in Vestfold.

What I delivered

The agency covered what a small business typically needs to exist digitally: websites, digital tools, integrations and workflow automation. Some engagements were pure website builds for local businesses, like SoMe Garden. Others were heavier: tailored tools, integrations with third-party APIs and small internal systems. The largest engagement became Eiendomsavtaler.no, where I went from agency delivery to being the sole developer on the platform.

How I worked

As the sole developer I owned the whole process myself: concept, design, code, production deployment and ongoing operations. For clients it meant one person to deal with, and communication was fast. In return it demanded discipline on scope and estimates. I quickly learned that most of the success is decided in the client dialogue, before any coding even begins.

What I took with me

Spiderweb gave me experience I wouldn't have gotten as a pure developer: how to write quotes that actually hold, how to set realistic deadlines when you have to sell them in yourself, and how to prioritize when time is the scarce resource. It also built technical muscle across the board, from simple WordPress sites to tailored Node backends, often in the same quarter.

After a year and a half I put the agency on the shelf to focus on full-stack development at Eiendomsavtaler.no and later Redi AS. The company is now dissolved, but the experience lives on in my everyday work, especially the ability to take ownership of a delivery from start to finish.
